Project Manager (SOA Development and Maintenance Team)

Responsibilities:

• Analyze product specifications provided by the Actuarial and Marketing teams.
• Input data and configure actuarial mathematical formulas into the VPMS, IL, and CTS systems for new and revised products to ensure they are completed within the designated sales timeline.
• Analyze the root causes of issues related to the VPMS system, evaluate their impacts, and determine appropriate solutions.
• Define methods and evaluate data analysis results for system improvements that align with business needs.
• Collaborate with other departments to evaluate operational plans and ensure successful task completion.
• Review and approve changes for product data input into the system in collaboration with relevant departments, considering product features, business conditions, system constraints, and departmental limitations.
• Coordinate with the Actuarial Product team, Reinsurance team, Marketing, IT, and vendors to ensure that data input operations meet the defined scope and timeline.
• Support Product Owners with decision-making, report preparation, and the approval of problem resolutions.
• Perform product condition accuracy testing by defining criteria and creating Test Scenarios/Calculations Verification to validate VPMS/IL calculation results against Actuarial figures.
• Coordinate with Actuarial, Marketing, Underwriting, and IT departments to manage the timeline for launching insurance products and to promptly analyze and resolve data errors within the system.
• Define performance metrics and evaluate the work performance of team personnel.
• Provide consultation, guidance, and mentorship to team members, especially less experienced staff, regarding data input and system defect resolution.
• Report operational performance, occurring problems, and management solutions to executives.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, or Computer fields.
• Passing SOA examinations or possessing programming skills is considered advantageous.
• At least 7 years of work experience in life actuarial science, life insurance products, and/or inputting insurance plan values into systems.
• Strong skills in analytical thinking, providing advice, communication, and coordination.
• Must have a service mind and good human relations.
• Proficiency in English, computer usage, and basic software programs.
• Knowledge of Core systems for life insurance companies.
• Knowledge of life insurance and the ability to calculate basic life insurance formulas.
• Strong ability in planning, organizing, and management.
• Understanding of life insurance formula structures, such as Premium Rate, Reserve, Cash Value, Cash Back, and Commission.
