Project Manager [Software Development - Bangkok]

About Manao Software

Manao Software has been building custom software since 2007. We are a team of 120 people in Chiang Mai and Bangkok, and we build web and mobile applications for Thai enterprises and for clients in Europe, Australia, and other international markets.

We are Danish owned. Our approach is straight talk and solid delivery: we say what is realistic, and then we deliver it.

About the role

We are hiring a Project Manager as part of our expansion. This role is for someone who has a few years of experience as a PM, and more years in the software industry before that. Many good PMs come from a developer, QA, or business analyst background and were promoted into project management. If that is your path, we want to hear from you.

You will report to our Head of Delivery. You will start with our smaller and less complex projects and take on larger and more demanding accounts as you learn how we work. Once you are settled, you can expect 2 to 3 projects at a time, with development teams of around 4 to 8 people.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Plan and manage software projects: run sprints, track progress, and keep the team unblocked.
• Work with Agile and Scrum and use Kanban where it fits the project.
• Keep schedules and budgets under control and raise problems early when a project starts to drift.
• Talk to clients directly, in Thai and in English, in meetings and in writing.
• Report project status clearly to clients and to Manao management.
• Work with our AI tools and help your team use them well in daily delivery.

Requirements

• This role is open to Thai nationals only.
• This role is based at our Bangkok office. We do not offer fully remote work. Hybrid work is available after you pass probation.
• At least 2 years of full-time experience managing software development projects as a PM.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Business level English and Thai, written and spoken. You will use both every week.
• Hands on experience running projects with Agile and Scrum, not only theory.
• Practical experience with Jira.
• Organized, clear in writing, and comfortable following up with people until things are done.
• Interested in AI tools and willing to learn them quickly.
• Scrum Master certification, or PMP or PMI-ACP is a plus.
• Experience with international or European clients is a plus.

Why Join Manao Software

• Competitive salary based on experience.
• Social security, provident fund, private health insurance, public holidays, vacations.
• Certification support: we pay for your Scrum Master, PMP, or PMI-ACP certification.
• A training budget and regular one-on-one coaching with your manager.
• Direct, honest feedback and a flat structure. You can raise problems without going through five layers of management.
• Real international exposure: you will speak to international clients, not only local accounts.
• A clear path to Senior Project Manager, based on the projects you deliver.
