Project Manager (Software Development)

About the role

Lead and manage software development and modification projects, ensuring successful delivery within the agreed timeline, budget, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and track project progress, milestones, and deliverables to ensure smooth project execution and timely handover
• Establish and implement effective quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality software solutions and deliverables
• Prepare and present regular project status reports, including progress updates, risks, issues, and mitigation plans, to customers and internal stakeholders
• Manage customer relationships and effectively coordinate software development teams to ensure alignment with project objectives
• Collaborate with customers to gather, analyze, clarify, and refine business and technical requirements
• Lead, motivate, and manage project teams to ensure effective collaboration, productivity, and successful project delivery
• Plan and maintain adequate staffing resources with the appropriate skills and qualifications to support project requirements

About you

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in software development, software design, or a related industry
• Minimum 2 years of experience in project management, preferably in software development projects
• Proven experience managing projects or customer accounts in the government, state enterprise, or public sector
• Strong understanding of government procurement processes, public bidding, and relevant tendering procedures
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to motivate and effectively lead cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project coordination skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
