Project Manager, Substation

About the role
We is seeking an experienced Project Manager, Substation to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a full-time position based in Pathum Wan, Bangkok, where you will take the lead in managing substation projects from conception through to successful completion. As Project Manager, you will hold strategic responsibility for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is critical to our operational success and will see you working with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to drive project excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Planning and scheduling substation projects, developing comprehensive project timelines and resource allocation strategies
• Managing project budgets, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle
• Coordinating with engineering teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution
• Conducting regular site inspections and monitoring to ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality standards
• Preparing and presenting detailed project reports, progress updates, and performance metrics to senior management and clients
• Identifying and mitigating project risks, developing contingency plans to address potential delays or issues
• Ensuring adherence to safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies across all project activities
• Managing stakeholder relationships and communications, ensuring all parties are informed of project status and milestones
• Overseeing quality assurance and quality control processes to maintain project standards
• Leading project teams and providing technical guidance to ensure successful project outcomes

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's or Master degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 5+ years of project management experience, with substantial experience managing substation or electrical infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, substation design, and power system operations
• Proven expertise in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management
• Excellent understanding of relevant Thai and international standards, codes, and regulations for electrical infrastructure
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities with experience motivating and developing project teams
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information clearly to diverse audiences
• Proficiency in project management software and tools (such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management systems
• Experience working in the energy or infrastructure sector is highly desirable
• Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent are advantageous
