Project Manager – Telecom Construction

Job Overview

Techcom LLC is seeking experienced Project Managers to lead telecom and fiber construction projects in Illinois, Indiana, and Washington.

The Project Manager is responsible for the full project lifecycle — from planning and kickoff through construction, completion, and closeout. This role owns project schedules, budgets, production, client communication, and overall project performance while managing field supervisors, crews, and subcontractors.

We are looking for someone who understands both the project management and field operations sides of telecom construction and can take full ownership of project results.

Responsibilities

• Manage telecom construction projects from kickoff through completion and closeout.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, production targets, and resources.
• Lead and coordinate field supervisors, crews, and subcontractors.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and maintain clear communication throughout the project.
• Monitor project progress, costs, and field production to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, permits, utility locates, and other project needs.
• Identify and resolve project risks, delays, field issues, and quality concerns.
• Ensure projects meet client requirements, safety standards, and company procedures.

Requirements

• Project management experience in telecom and/or fiber-optic construction.
• Experience with OSP, FTTH, broadband, or similar telecom infrastructure projects.
• Understanding of aerial and underground fiber construction.
• Experience managing supervisors, crews, and subcontractors.
• Strong project planning, budgeting, and cost-control skills.
• Strong leadership, client communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Understanding of construction safety and OSHA requirements.

Preferred

Experience with large-scale fiber deployments and fiber blowing is a plus.

We are hiring Project Managers for Illinois, Indiana, and Washington. Candidates should be located in or able to work within one of these markets. Please indicate your preferred state/market when applying.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
