• Lead the planning, execution of the project, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
• Manage full project lifecycle including scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risk for large-scale, complex capital projects.
• Co-lead cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, maintenance, quality, and external partners to deliver project readiness and operational startup.
• Ensure all project deliverables meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Support equipment specification, procurement, installation, and commissioning of machines and related systems.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to supply chain, regulatory compliance, cultural/language barriers, and technical challenges. Ensure product and process compliance with company and government standards and regulations.
• Partner with technical teams to troubleshoot, optimize, and stabilize manufacturing processes during startup phases.
• Co-lead capital investment projects ensuring adherence to scope, timeline, and cost targets aligned with overall business and site goals.
• Oversee vendor selection, contractor management, and equipment installation activities.
• Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and performance to executive stakeholders.
• Build strong cross-functional alignment and drive accountability across all project phases.
• Mentor and guide team members on project management best practices. Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Paper Science, or related field preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or project management within industrial environments. Direct experience in paper or board manufacturing is preferred.
• Good English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
• Proven experience leading large-scale capital projects, including new site builds or major facility expansions.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing best practices, process standardization.
• Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent) and ERP systems.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or similar continuous improvement frameworks.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills in a matrixed environment.
• Proactive problem-solver with hands-on mentality.
• PMP and/or Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
