PROJECT MANAGER/DEPUTY ENGINEER

Duties and Responsibilities

1.     Initiate the project by:

a.     setting goals

b.     determine deliverables

c.     determine process output

d.     document projects constraints

e.     define strategies

f.      knowledge of  performance requirements of the project

g.     prepares budget

h.     supply comprehensive project information

2.      Planning of the project :

a.     commit project resources

b.     implement project plan

c.     monitor and manage progress of the project

d.     communicates progress of the project and implement quality analysis

3.      Control the project :

a.      measure performance and refine project control limits

b.      implements corrective actions

c.     evaluate corrective actions effectiveness

d.     ensure compliance of the project plans

e.     monitor project activity and respond to risk triggers

4.     Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations

5.     Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crisis, and devise contingency plans.

6.     Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
