  • Conduct site visits and job walks to evaluate existing conditions and gather project information.
  • Prepare detailed estimates, proposals, bid packages, and contract documentation.
  • Calculate material, labor, subcontractor, and equipment costs.
  • Use estimating and project management software to prepare and track projects.
  • Obtain and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate materials, equipment, deliveries, crews, and subcontractors to maintain project schedules.
  • Oversee daily project activities and conduct progress and quality inspections.
  • Ensure work complies with project specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Monitor project costs, budgets, schedules, and change orders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate project records, documentation, and cost information.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Identify and resolve project issues while maintaining professional client relationships.
  • Support accounts receivable and other project-related administrative processes as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve estimating, scheduling, cost control, and customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in construction estimating, project management, or a closely related role.
  • Experience in painting, remodeling, general construction, or commercial improvement projects preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, terminology, and site operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work.
  • Strong understanding of material and labor costs and construction cost-control practices.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, crews, materials, and job-site logistics.
  • Strong inspection and quality-control skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications; experience with estimating or project-management software is preferred.
  • Knowledge of contract administration and accounts receivable is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites throughout Central Florida.
  • Ability to provide three professional references from previous employers, including contact information.

You should be able to confidently evaluate a project, develop an accurate estimate, coordinate resources, communicate with clients and subcontractors, and monitor a project through completion.

If you thrive in a fast-paced construction environment and want an opportunity where your skills, initiative, and contributions are recognized, we encourage you to apply.
