What they need

Company Overview: Established in California in 2013, Green Water and Power has rapidly grown to operate in over 35 states, positioning itself as a leader in the sustainable energy sector. Named the #1 electric vehicle (EV) installer in America, we take pride in having deployed more than 15,000 EV chargers and completed approximately 5 megawatts (MW) of solar energy projects.

As an EVITP (Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program) certified turnkey engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firm, we leverage our in-house expertise to efficiently manage and execute large-scale projects. Our dedication to sustainability and quality extends beyond project completion; we also provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services to ensure optimal performance for the projects we develop, as well as for third-party installations.

Position Overview: Green Water and Power is seeking an experienced Project Manager/Foreman to own commercial EV charging projects while leading installation work directly on site. This role combines the hands-on technical leadership of a Foreman with the planning, and client communication of a Project Manager. You will supervise an installation crew, manage project schedules and coordinate with engineering, procurement, and local authorities, and serve as the customer’s primary point of contact. Your leadership will be crucial in delivering safe, code-compliant, high-quality installations on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage commercial EV charging projects for the entirety of the project.
  • Review plan designs and single-line diagrams with the engineering department; build project schedules and crew plans for each site.
  • Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability and delivery of chargers, materials, and equipment.
  • Obtain and finalize permits; arrange for and conduct inspections with local AHJs and coordinate utility requirements as needed.
  • Schedule and lead preconstruction site walks and postconstruction site inspections.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients: coordinate start times and project schedules, provide regular updates, and resolve concerns promptly.
  • Lead and supervise electrical installations for commercial EV charging systems (AC and DC), working alongside crews in the field.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and other safety and electrical standards.
  • NEC Compliance: Strong knowledge of Article 625 and other relevant NEC standards for EV charging installations.
  • Wiring and Terminations: Experience with 240V/208V circuits, wiring EVSE units to panels, and using torque tools per spec.
  • Conduit and Raceway Work: Skilled in EMT and PVC conduit installation; able to bend, mount, and seal per job specs.
  • Grounding and Bonding: Capable of installing compliant grounding systems for EVSE units and subpanels.
  • Testing and Commissioning: Use of electrical testing tools (multimeter, insulation resistance testers, etc.) for system validation and diagnostics.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Lead and mentor Junior and Senior Level EV Installers, providing guidance, technical support, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Promote a culture of safety within the installation teams, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols, procedures, and best practices.
  • Document punch list items, photo document progress, and submit daily status and job closeout reports to management, ensuring projects are on time and on budget.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of project details, installations, maintenance activities, and repairs.
  • Accountable for tools, equipment, and company vehicles, ensuring all are in good working order and that project sites are properly cleaned up.
  • Must be responsive to emails and phone calls from clients, crews, and management.

Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of experience as an Electrical Foreman or Lead Installer, preferably in EV infrastructure or renewable energy.
  • 2+ years of project management experience on commercial electrical or construction projects, including scheduling and budget tracking.
  • DIR Licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of the NEC, including Articles 625 and 690.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and single-line diagrams.
  • EVITP Certification or the ability to obtain one.
  • An OSHA 30 certification or the ability to obtain one.
  • Proven experience with EV charger deployment and solar panel and canopy installations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project scheduling tools.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational abilities.

General Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and access to reliable transportation.
  • Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail and safety.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once and prioritize deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in field and office environments.
  • Comfortable working outdoors, at heights, and in varying weather conditions.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Travel is required.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary based on experience (DOE), up to $50 per hour.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits package.
  • Retirement Savings Plan
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Career advancement opportunities.

Additional Information:

  • Criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen.
  • This position requires travel to different job sites. Overnight stays may be necessary depending on the project location.
