Role: Senior Scrum Master / Project Manager

Experience: 10–15+ years in IT, with strong experience in Agile delivery and project management

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Scrum Master / Project Manager to lead end-to-end project delivery, drive Agile practices, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure successful delivery of business requirements within agreed timelines, budget, scope, and quality standards. The candidate will be responsible for stakeholder management, sprint execution, delivery governance, risk management, team performance, and continuous improvement while maintaining strong client relationships.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Project Delivery: Own project planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery, ensuring milestones, scope, timelines, budget, and quality objectives are achieved.
  • Agile & Scrum Leadership: Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives; ensure effective adoption of Agile and Scrum principles.
  • Sprint & Release Management: Manage sprint commitments, release planning, dependencies, deployment schedules, and production readiness to ensure predictable and successful releases.
  • Backlog & Scope Management: Work with Product Owners and Business Analysts to prioritize the backlog, refine user stories, define acceptance criteria, and manage scope changes.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary delivery contact for clients and business stakeholders, manage expectations, communicate progress, and resolve escalations proactively.
  • Risk, Issue & Dependency Management: Identify delivery risks, impediments, cross-team dependencies, and critical issues; establish mitigation plans and drive timely resolution.
  • Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead and coordinate developers, testers, business analysts, technical leads, architects, and offshore/onshore teams to ensure effective collaboration and delivery.
  • Delivery Metrics & Performance Monitoring: Track sprint velocity, story-point completion, sprint predictability, backlog aging, defect leakage, productivity, and SLA adherence; drive corrective actions based on trends.
  • Resource & Capacity Planning: Forecast team capacity, manage resource allocation and utilization, identify skill gaps, and coordinate onboarding, transitions, and backup coverage.
  • Project Governance & Reporting: Prepare and present weekly status reports, monthly service reviews, quarterly business reviews, dashboards, RAID logs, action trackers, and executive-level delivery updates.
  • Quality & Continuous Improvement: Drive quality engineering, defect prevention, root-cause analysis, process improvements, and retrospective action closure to improve delivery efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Production Support & SLA Management: Oversee incident, problem, and change management; monitor SLA compliance, prioritize critical issues, coordinate production releases, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Cross-Functional Dependency Management: Coordinate with architecture, integration, infrastructure, security, testing, business, and third-party teams to resolve blockers and maintain delivery commitments.
  • Financial & Commercial Management: Monitor project budgets, effort estimates, forecast versus actuals, change requests, resource costs, and delivery commitments; identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency.
  • Automation, AI & Delivery Transformation: Identify opportunities to leverage AI-enabled development tools, workflow automation, dashboards, and standardized delivery practices to improve productivity, transparency, and overall project outcomes.
