Introduction
We at Rieckermann Malaysia are looking for experienced Project Mechanical & Piping Engineer to join our PMC team for a major industrial project in Thailand. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role across the EPC lifecycle—from engineering and constructability reviews through site execution and commissioning—while representing the owner on a high-impact industrial project. At Rieckermann, we value technical expertise, collaboration and long-term partnerships, offering the opportunity to grow your career in a dynamic international environment built on quality, commitment and trust.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Mechanical & Piping (M&P) scope as part of the integrated Owner's Representative team, providing technical and field oversight across the full EPC lifecycle from engineering through procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Actively participate in early-stage constructability reviews, 3D model assessments, and layout optimizations to eliminate field clashes and piping bottlenecks.
- Coordinate and review engineering deliverables, detailed equipment specifications, isometric drawings, and vendor data packages.
- Support critical procurement activities, including technical bid evaluations (TBEs) and vendor document qualification.
- Supervise site mechanical equipment installations (static and rotating) and piping fabrication/welding, conducting rigorous QA/QC inspections.
- Oversee pressure testing, hydrotesting, flushing, chemical cleaning, and pre-commissioning activities for equipment and piping networks.
- Track progress, report on package quality, cost, and schedule, and enforce contractor recovery plans if deviations occur.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical and piping design, procurement, and construction supervision, with a strong track record in brownfield and greenfield developments within Food & Beverage, or Chemical industries.
- Solid understanding of the full EPC project lifecycle, including hands-on experience in constructability reviews.
- Strong practical knowledge of QA/QC practices, welding qualifications (WPS/PQR), non-destructive testing (NDT), and industrial piping codes (ASME/API).
- Experience with 3D model review tools (e.g., Navisworks or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and standard engineering tools.
- Experience working with multinational clients or EPCM firms is desirable.
- Proficient in English and Thai.
