Job Summary SAINT-Bangladesh is implementing the CLIMB Project to strengthen climate-resilient, inclusive, and gender-responsive WASH governance in vulnerable coastal areas. The project emphasizes civil society engagement, social accountability, evidence generation, and advocacy to improve WASH services, particularly for women and vulnerable communities.

The Civil Society Leadership in Mobilizing for Better WASH (CLIMB) Partnership Programme supported by Water Aid Bangladesh aims to strengthen climate-resilient, inclusive, and gender-responsive WASH governance in the climate-vulnerable coastal areas of Dashmina Upazila, Patuakhali. SAINT-Bangladesh is implementing the CLIMB Project to strengthen climate-resilient, inclusive, and gender-responsive WASH governance in coastal areas.

The project emphasizes advocacy, social accountability, civil society engagement, and improved service delivery for vulnerable populations.

The Project Focuses On

The Project Officer – MEAL will be responsible for designing, implementing, and strengthening the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) system of the project. S/he will ensure high-quality data collection, analysis, reporting, and learning to support evidence-based decision-making, advocacy, and adaptive project management.

Organizational Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with operational standards and procedures

Reporting to: Project Manager

Working Conditions

• Field-based position with frequent travel within the project area
• Close collaboration with communities, CSOs, and local authorities

Job Location: Dashmina Upazila, Patuakhali District.

Key Roles And Responsibilities Responsibility # 01: Advocacy Planning & Implementation (30%)

• MEAL System Development & Implementation
• Develop and operationalize the project MEAL framework aligned with donor requirements.
• Prepare and update indicators, log frame tracking tools, and performance monitoring plans (PMP).
• Ensure integration of gender, equity, and inclusion (GEDI) indicators into the MEAL system.

Requirements

• Experience: 3 years
• Education: bachelor of science in public health
• Skills: aid effectiveness, monitoring and evaluation, cdm co-ordinator, cdm coordinator, ministry development, capacity development, collaboration with stakeholders, community engagement & outreach, achieving measurable results, responsibilities
