Project Planner

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To develop, monitor and update detailed ship repair schedules, resource plans and progress tracking tools for ship repair projects, supporting timely and cost-effective project execution while coordinating closely with project teams and stakeholders.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS

·         Prepare detailed project plans & schedules including work breakdown structure (WBS), timelines and deliverables.

·         Develop job sequencing plans and identify interdependencies between trades and activities.

·         Ensure alignment of schedules with contractual milestones and client expectations.

·         Track actual progress against baseline schedules and update plans accordingly.

·         Analyze variances, critical paths and recommend corrective actions.

·         Maintain daily/weekly/monthly progress logs and coordinate look-ahead planning.

·         Prepare progress reports, S-curves, man-hour charts and productivity summaries.

·         Ensures the effective implementation of the Quality and HSE management systems in the project processes and interfaces with other functional groups.

QUALIFICATION

·         Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Marine Technology, or related field.

·         3+ years of experience in planning or scheduling within a ship repair or shipyard environment.

·         Skilled in scheduling software.

·         Knowledge of flow process & sequences in shipbuilding and ship repair is an advantage.
