As our Australian operations continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Project Planner to support the planning, scheduling, cost control and reporting requirements of fixed plant brownfield projects.

The Role

The Project Planner will work closely with project management, supervisors, engineering and execution teams to develop and maintain project schedules, monitor costs and progress, and support the safe and efficient delivery of project works.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Develop, maintain and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project
• Plan and coordinate fixed plant brownfield project activities
• Develop project work plans, sequencing and schedules to support efficient project execution
• Monitor project progress against schedule, budget and key milestones
• Undertake budgeting, forecasting and cost control activities
• Prepare regular project progress, schedule and cost reports
• Identify schedule risks, delays and constraints and support the development of recovery plans
• Coordinate with project supervisors and execution teams to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and cost effectively
• Coordinate labour, materials, contractors and other resources required for upcoming project works
• Manage and monitor work orders and project information within SAP
• Support project performance measurement and continuous improvement initiatives
• Assist with monitoring project expenditure and ensuring costs remain within approved budgets

Position Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably within the mining or resources sector
• Demonstrated experience working on brownfield fixed plant projects
• Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
• Demonstrated experience in budgeting and project cost control
• Strong project reporting and progress measurement capabilities
• Experience using SAP
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to interpret project scopes, schedules and execution requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with project managers, supervisors, contractors and site-based teams
• A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach

Trade, engineering or relevant project/planning qualifications will be highly regarded.

Roster

This position operates on a 4/3 FIFO roster, Monday to Thursday, with FIFO travel from Perth.
