Project Planner - (Contract)

Location: Melaka (2years Contract)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and maintain detailed project programmes, construction schedules and milestone tracking plans in accordance with contract requirements and project objectives.
• Prepare baseline programmes, master schedules, look-ahead programmes and recovery programmes where required.
• Coordinate with the Project Director, Project Manager, Construction Manager, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to establish realistic work sequences and construction timelines.
• Monitor project progress against approved programmes and identify potential delays, constraints and critical activities.
• Analyse project performance and recommend mitigation measures to ensure timely project completion.
• Update project schedules regularly to reflect actual progress, changes, delays and recovery actions.
• Monitor critical path activities and ensure appropriate actions are implemented to protect project milestones.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, including planned versus actual progress analysis.
• Generate progress dashboards, S-curves, manpower histograms, progress charts and other project control reports.
• Highlight programme risks, delays and potential impacts to the Project Manager and project team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in project planning, scheduling or project controls within the construction, fit-out, refurbishment or building industry.
• Experience in preparing construction programmes, progress reports and project control documentation.
• Experience using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or other project scheduling software will be an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint and project reporting tools.
• Candidates who are residents of Melaka or currently based in Melaka will be given priority consideration due to project requirements and site accessibility.
• Willing to be based on-site and support project planning activities throughout project execution.
