What they need

We are looking for a proactive and organised Project Planning & Development Executive to support our property development projects.

In this role, you will review planning and approval requirements, identify potential issues, recommend practical solutions and coordinate with authorities, consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders. You will also support CAD drawing preparation, project scheduling, site coordination, cost tracking and project documentation.

This position is suitable for someone who has practical property-development experience and is ready to contribute ideas while developing broader exposure across the project lifecycle

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to project planning, feasibility studies, development proposals, project briefs, concept planning and implementation schedules.
  • Review planning and authority requirements, identify potential constraints or approval issues, and recommend appropriate submission and approval strategies.
  • Engage relevant authorities and consultants to clarify requirements, evaluate alternatives and support negotiations within approved parameters.
  • Prepare and amend concept plans, layouts, drawing mark-ups and other project-support drawings using BricsCAD or AutoCAD.
  • Monitor approval timelines, project schedules, milestones and outstanding actions, and escalate delays, risks or non-compliance.
  • Coordinate project, technical, site and authority meetings, including minutes, progress reports and follow-up actions.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and compliance with approved drawings, specifications and statutory requirements.
  • Identify and assess planning, approval, technical, cost and project-delivery issues; recommend practical solutions or alternative approaches; and coordinate the agreed follow-up actions.
  • Support quotation evaluations, Letters of Award, Purchase Orders, payment documentation, budget records, cash-flow forecasts and cost tracking.
  • Monitor consultants’, contractors’ and vendors’ deliverables and maintain accurate project records using Microsoft 365, including Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
  • Perform other related duties or ad hoc assignments as required by Management.

Role Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Town Planning, Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Building Surveying, Property Development, Real Estate Management or a related built-environment discipline. Other relevant qualifications with strong directly related experience may also be considered.
  • 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in property planning, property development, construction consultancy or project coordination.
  • Practical experience in authority submissions and approvals, consultant coordination, project scheduling, technical documentation and site follow-up.
  • Proficient in BricsCAD or AutoCAD, with the ability to prepare and amend concept plans, layouts, drawing mark-ups and other project-related drawings.
  • Good understanding of property-development processes, statutory requirements and the Uniform Building By-Laws, with the ability to read and coordinate architectural, civil and structural, and M&E drawings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and familiar with or ready to work using Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
  • Good written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English. Mandarin communication ability is an advantage.
  • Proactive, organised and detail-oriented, with good problem-solving, communication and follow-through skills.
  • Able to work independently within assigned authority, manage multiple priorities and collaborate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A valid driving licence and own transport are mandatory, with willingness to travel to project sites, authority offices and meetings.
  • Comfortable with a one-year contract and able to attend Saturday half-day work (if necessary), site matters or meetings, or work beyond normal hours when operationally required.
