Project Planning Engineer

ERA Projects is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Planning Engineer with construction industry experience to join our team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure construction activities are completed on time and within the approved project plan.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules, baseline programs, and project timelines.
• Prepare Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), critical path schedules, and resource-loaded programs.
• Monitor project progress against planned schedules and identify delays, risks, and potential bottlenecks.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and procurement teams to ensure timely execution of activities.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, schedule updates, and management presentations.
• Analyze schedule variances and recommend corrective and recovery actions.
• Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and procurement schedules to support project milestones.
• Assist in preparing progress claims, extension of time (EOT) submissions, and delay analysis documentation when required.
• Maintain accurate project planning records and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Project Planning Engineer or Construction Planning Engineer.
• Experience in construction projects, preferably high-rise buildings, villas, and large-scale developments.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, critical path method (CPM), progress monitoring, and project controls.
• Good command of Microsoft Excel and project reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
• Must be currently available in Bahrain and able to join immediately.
• Previous experience in Bahrain or the GCC construction industry is an advantage.
