Project Risk & Governance Manager / PMO Manager (Data Center)

The Job:

Project Governance & Assurance

• Provide independent governance oversight for large-scale and strategically important projects.
• Ensure project teams comply with established project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and organizational standards.
• Facilitate project assurance reviews at key project lifecycle milestones.
• Assess overall project health across schedule, budget, scope, quality, resourcing, and delivery performance.
• Identify governance gaps and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and project sponsors.

Project Risk Management

• Lead project risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and mitigation activities.
• Establish and maintain comprehensive project risk registers and action plans.
• Monitor risk exposure and ensure mitigation actions are implemented effectively.
• Support project teams in developing practical risk response strategies.
• Escalate critical project risks and emerging issues to appropriate stakeholders.

Bid & Project Initiation Support

• Support bid, proposal, and project initiation activities by reviewing project assumptions, delivery strategies, commercial exposures, and execution risks.
• Provide independent risk assessment during pre-award reviews.
• Work with cross-functional teams to improve decision-making for complex opportunities.

Stakeholder Management

• Partner closely with Project Managers, Program Managers, PMO teams, Engineering, Finance, Procurement, Legal, and Commercial functions.
• Influence stakeholders at all levels through data-driven insights and independent recommendations.
• Foster a strong risk-aware culture across project teams.

Performance Reporting & Analytics

• Develop governance dashboards and project risk reporting frameworks.
• Analyze project performance trends and identify emerging risks.
• Prepare regular reports for management reviews and governance forums.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through lessons learned and best-practice sharing.

The Talent:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications in Project Management, Risk Management, or Quality (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) are advantageous.
• 8-12 years of experience in project delivery, project governance, risk management, or quality management.
• Experience supporting large, complex, or high‑value projects (preferably data center project)
• Proven exposure to cross‑functional and multi‑stakeholder project settings.
• Strong risk assessment, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
• Solid understanding of project lifecycle governance and quality assurance
• Ability to provide independent, constructive challenge to project teams
• Confident communicator with senior stakeholders
• Structured, systematic, and detail‑oriented
