Project Scheduler

POSITION INTRODUCTION

Would you like to be part of a company that is employee owned? We invite you to consider joining NOOTER.

As a Project Scheduler, you will develop, maintain, and analyze project schedules that drive the successful execution of industrial construction projects. This role supports project planning, scheduling, forecasting, and project controls activities while partnering with project management, field operations, and leadership teams to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

ABOUT NOOTER

With more than a century of experience, NOOTER combines national horsepower with local expertise in process mechanical construction, process electrical construction, material handling systems, structural steel, rigging, fabrication, machine setting, and related industrial construction services. As an employee-owned company, NOOTER is committed to delivering safe, high-quality solutions while investing in the success and growth of our employee-owners. We foster a collaborative culture where leadership, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement are valued and rewarded.

DAY IN THE LIFE

As a Project Scheduler, you will work closely with Project Managers, Project Controls professionals, Superintendents, field leadership, and operations teams to develop and maintain detailed construction schedules for industrial and capital projects. A typical day includes analyzing schedule performance, evaluating critical path activities, tracking project progress, updating milestone dates, and identifying risks that could impact project execution. You will gather progress updates from project stakeholders, incorporate scope changes and field conditions into schedule forecasts, and prepare reports and dashboards that communicate schedule status to management and clients. Using Primavera P6 and other scheduling tools, you will help ensure schedule integrity across multiple projects while recommending recovery plans, mitigation strategies, and sequencing improvements that contribute to safe, productive, and successful project delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Minimum 3-7 years of experience in project scheduling, project controls, construction planning, or related functions.
  • Experience using Primavera P6 or similar enterprise scheduling software.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and updating baseline project schedules.
  • Experience collaborating with project teams, field supervision, and project controls personnel.
  • Strong knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling principles.
  • Ability to develop, analyze, and maintain complex construction schedules.
  • Ability to interpret project documentation, construction drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

BENEFITS
