Project Services Head

Job Overview:

Responsible for leading project delivery and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. The role ensures projects are successfully executed while driving process standardization, efficiency improvements, policy development, and governance adherence.

This role serves as the owner of project management methodologies, process standards, policies, procedures, and continuous improvement frameworks.

Handling a team of project managers and process analyst/specialist and reports to SS PMO Head.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Project Management

• Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of projects.
• Ensure project delivery within approved scope, schedule, budget, and quality targets.
• Monitor project risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Manage portfolio reporting and project governance activities.

Project Governance

• Develop and maintain project management standards and methodologies.
• Establish templates, controls, and reporting requirements.
• Conduct project quality reviews and stage-gate assessments.
• Ensure compliance with approved governance frameworks.

Process Excellence

• Lead enterprise process improvement initiatives.
• Facilitate process design, redesign and optimization efforts.
• Drive standardization and simplification of business processes.
• Promote Lean and continuous improvement methodologies.

Policy, Procedure & Standards Management

• Develop and maintain:
• Policies
• Procedures
• Guidelines
• Standards/KPIs
• Maintain process documentation repositories.
• Coordinate review and approval of governance documents.

Benefits Realization

• Establish performance baselines.
• Track efficiency improvements and cost savings.
• Monitor achievement of expected business outcomes.

Stakeholder Management

• Partner with business leaders and process owners.
• Facilitate workshops and governance reviews.
• Manage project and process-related escalations.

Team Leadership

• Lead project managers and process improvement specialists.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and capability development.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, including at least 5 years of project management experience involving process design, implementation, and compliance initiatives, preferably within the insurance, financial services, or banking industry.
• At least 3 years of experience in a people management or leadership role.
• Lean Six Sigma and Project Management certifications are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage
