PROJECT / SITE ENGINEER

About the role

This role involves overseeing day-to-day construction activities on-site, ensuring work progresses according to project timelines, specifications, and safety standards. You will coordinate between contractors, workers, and the site management team, interpret technical drawings, maintain documentation, and address on-site issues promptly while enforcing health and safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day activities on-site, ensuring construction work progresses according to project timelines, specifications, and safety standards
• Ensure materials and work meet quality standards by conducting regular checks and inspections
• Liaise between contractors, workers, and the site management team to ensure efficient communication and problem-solving
• Interpret technical drawings and ensure they are followed accurately during construction
• Maintain daily logs, update site reports, and assist with documentation required for project completion
• Address on-site issues promptly, coordinating with senior engineers for solutions to technical challenges
• Enforce safety regulations and conduct safety checks to maintain a secure work environment
• Assist in planning and scheduling of project phases, ensuring resources are allocated effectively
• Track project progress and ensure tasks are completed as per schedule, addressing delays or potential issues
• Attend Pre VCM/VCM and other meetings with clients

About you

• Degree in Civil Engineering/Building or related discipline
• 2 years and above experience
• Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD
• Site knowledge
• Spoken English and Malay
• Written English and Malay
• Strong leadership qualities
• Willing to relocate and travel
