Project Site Engineer - Steel Structure

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Engineer to join ACERO BUILDING SYSTEM SDN. BHD. in Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of our building and construction projects. As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing on-site operations, managing project timelines, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. This role is integral to the delivery of our projects and directly impacts the satisfaction of our clients and stakeholders.

What you'll be doing

• Supervising and coordinating all on-site construction activities and site operations to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget
• Monitoring and enforcing health, safety and environmental (HSE) standards and regulations on site
• Conducting daily site inspections to verify that work meets design specifications and quality requirements
• Managing and maintaining accurate site records, including daily reports, progress documentation and as-built drawings
• Liaising between the project team, contractors, subcontractors and clients to ensure effective communication and coordination
• Resolving site-related issues and implementing corrective actions promptly to maintain project momentum
• Verifying material deliveries and ensuring compliance with project specifications and contractual requirements
• Preparing and submitting progress reports and project documentation to project management and clients
• Supporting the planning and scheduling of construction activities in coordination with project managers
• Ensuring compliance with local building codes, regulations and permits throughout the project lifecycle

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience working as a Site Engineer on construction or building projects
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes and safety regulations
• Proficiency in site management software and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards
• Problem-solving abilities and capacity to make sound decisions under pressure
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required
• Professional certification such as CIDB registration or equivalent would be advantageous
