Project Superintendent

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires effective leadership, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of construction processes and safety regulations.

Duties

• Project Planning and Scheduling: Develops and maintains project timelines, schedules, and work plans to ensure timely completion.
• Site Management: Oversees daily operations on the construction site, including supervising workers and subcontractors.
• Coordination and Communication: Acts as the primary point of contact between clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow.
• Quality Control: Ensures that all work meets project specifications, building codes, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Safety Management: Implements safety protocols, conducts safety meetings, and enforces OSHA standards to maintain a safe working environment.
• Budget Management: Monitors project expenses and helps control costs to stay within budget.
• Problem Resolution: Addresses and resolves issues or delays that arise during construction.
• Progress Reporting: Provides regular updates to project managers and stakeholders on project status.
• Team Leadership: Manages and oversees the work of supervisors, subcontractors, and construction workers.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction supervision, preferably in commercial or residential projects.
• Knowledge of Construction Methods and Materials: Strong understanding of building processes, techniques, and materials.
• Project Management Skills: Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and oversee all phases of a construction project.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with construction software, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Leadership Ability: Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate construction teams.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly identify issues and implement effective solutions.
• Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
