Project Superintendent

Trueline’s client, an established general contractor with a growing portfolio of federal construction projects, is seeking a Project Superintendent to lead field operations on a $38 million barracks renovation at Fort Benning, GA. The project is a highly visible USACE job expected to run at least 12-18 months, and the role pays $105,000-$130,000.

You’ll run the jobsite day to day, keeping the work safe, on schedule, and to specification while partnering closely with the project’s QC and safety leads and the USACE team.

What You’ll Do as the Project Superintendent:

• Lead day-to-day field operations on a $38 million federal barracks renovation
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, crews, deliveries, and site logistics
• Read and maintain the critical path schedule, build look-ahead schedules, and keep work on track
• Interpret construction drawings and specifications, and resolve field conflicts early
• Manage the challenges of renovation work, including existing conditions, selective demolition, phasing, and system upgrades
• Enforce EM 385-1-1 safety requirements in partnership with the SSHO, and lead hazard identification in the field
• Coordinate with the CQC System Manager on the three-phase quality control process
• Work closely with USACE representatives on progress, inspections, and coordination
• Handle installation access and badging requirements for crews and subcontractors
• Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and field documentation
• Drive punch list completion, closeout, and turnover

Must-Haves as the Project Superintendent:

• 10+ years of construction experience, including at least 5 years as a superintendent on projects similar in size and complexity
• Working knowledge of EM 385-1-1
• Experience with hazard identification and safety compliance
• Ability to interpret critical path schedules and construction drawings
• Strong subcontractor management and field leadership skills
• Ability to work full time at the project site at Fort Benning, GA
• Ability to satisfy federal installation access requirements

Nice-to-Haves as the Project Superintendent:

• USACE, NAVFAC, or other DoD project experience (strongly preferred)
• Barracks, dormitory, or military housing renovation experience
• Renovation experience involving existing conditions, demolition, abatement, and phased work
• CQM-C certification
• OSHA 30-hour Construction certification
• Experience with RMS and with Primavera P6 or MS Project
• Experience on an active Army or other secure military installation
• Local ties to the Columbus, GA or Phenix City, AL area
