Role Overview:

As our Project Translator in Thailand, you will be responsible for written and oral translation services between Thai and Chinese across project documentation, client visits, site surveys, and on-site construction activities, ensuring smooth communication between our project team and Thai stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate project materials between Thai and Chinese, including technical documentation, contracts, construction drawings explanations, meeting minutes, acceptance reports, etc., ensuring translation accuracy and proper use of terminology.

• Provide interpretation services for client visits, project surveys, site inspections and similar scenarios, facilitating smooth communication between all parties.

• Deliver on-site interpretation during construction activities, technical exchanges, acceptance meetings and other project events, supporting communication between our project team and Thai clients, subcontractors, supervisors and other stakeholders.

• Support the Project Manager with day-to-day communication tasks, organize and archive translation-related documents, ensuring timely and complete information delivery.

• Participate in localization of project documentation where necessary, helping the Chinese team understand local Thai regulations, cultural practices and industry standards.

Requirements:

• Associate degree or above. Candidates with a background in Chinese language, Translation, or Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Telecommunications, etc.) are preferred.

• At least 1 year of translation experience in engineering, manufacturing, or telecommunications projects, with preference given to those experienced in translating engineering project documentation.

• Proficient in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in both Thai and Chinese, capable of handling translation tasks in formal business, technical, and on-site environments.

• Strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and good teamwork aptitude. Possesses excellent adaptability, accuracy in terminology use, proper documentation formatting practices, and basic confidentiality awareness.

• Willingness to travel to project sites or accept site-based assignments is preferred.

• Familiarity with basic terminology in telecommunications, data centers, energy or construction industries is preferred. Basic English proficiency or familiarity with engineering software such as AutoCAD is also preferred.
