Projects Control Director

Job Summary:

Madkour Group is seeking an experienced Projects Control Director to lead the Project Controls function across our portfolio of EPC and construction projects , ensuring effective planning, cost management, performance monitoring, forecasting, and project reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the Projects Control function across multiple EPC projects.
• Establish and implement project controls strategies, standards, procedures, and reporting systems across the Group.
• Oversee Planning, Scheduling, Cost Control, Progress Monitoring, and Project Performance Management activities.
• Develop and maintain integrated master schedules and ensure alignment between engineering, procurement, construction, and project milestones.
• Monitor project progress against approved baselines, identify deviations, and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Oversee project cost control, budgets, commitments, actual costs, forecasts, and cash-flow projections .
• Review and challenge project forecasts, including Cost to Complete (CTC), Estimate at Completion (EAC), and projected final costs .
• Establish effective Earned Value Management (EVM) and project performance measurement practices where applicable.
• Analyze schedule and cost variances and provide management with clear insights and recommendations.
• Lead the preparation and consolidation of monthly project controls reports, dashboards, and management reports .
• Identify potential schedule delays, cost overruns, and project risks and ensure appropriate mitigation plans are developed.
• Ensure effective integration between Project Controls, Project Management, Contracts, Commercial, Procurement, Engineering, and Construction teams.
• Review project recovery plans and monitor their implementation and effectiveness.
• Provide senior management with accurate and timely visibility of portfolio performance, risks, forecasts, and key project KPIs .
• Develop and lead the Projects Control team, ensuring strong technical capabilities, accountability, and continuous development.
• Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement of project controls processes across Madkour Group.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field .
• 15+ years of relevant experience in Project Controls, Planning, Cost Control, or Project Management.
• Proven experience in a Projects Control Director, Project Controls Head, Project Controls Manager, or equivalent senior leadership position .
• Strong experience within EPC, construction, infrastructure, energy, utilities, or industrial projects .
• Extensive knowledge of project planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting, progress measurement, and performance management .
• Strong experience managing project controls across multiple projects or a large project portfolio .
• Advanced knowledge of project controls tools and systems, particularly Primavera P6 and ERP/project reporting systems .
• Strong understanding of project cost management, forecasting, and schedule control.
• Experience with EVM, KPIs, dashboards, and executive-level project reporting .
• Strong leadership, analytical, decision-making, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex project performance information to senior management.
