Naracoorte Lucindale Council is located in the heart of the Limestone Coast region. Approximately 300 kilometres from Adelaide and 450 kilometres from Melbourne, Naracoorte is the main service centre for the district, which also contains the smaller communities of Lucindale, Hynam, Kybybolite and Frances.

Reporting to the Director Infrastructure & Operations, this role is accountable for coordinating and delivering high-quality community infrastructure projects through all project stages, ensuring works are on time, and within scope and budget. Key Responsibilities include:

• Managing the end-to-end delivery of civil and strategic projects, working closely with other managers and teams as required
• Coordinating procurement processes including tender preparation, evaluation, contract management and performance monitoring
• Overseeing contract and consultancy management, ensuring compliance with approved specifications, value for money and timely, high-quality service delivery
• Supporting project delivery at Council’s key sites: Naracoorte Regional Livestock Exchange, Naracoorte Aerodrome, Lucindale airstrip, Lucindale CWMS, Naracoorte Waste Transfer Station and Naracoorte Swimming Lake
• Engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth end-to-end project delivery
• Pursuing grant funding to assist Council to achieve its strategic objectives.

Prior experience and qualifications in project management, ideally from a local government, infrastructure, construction, or a related sector will be required, and/or extensive experience in a similar position.

Well-developed written and verbal communication, negotiation skills and strong stakeholder engagement capability will be critical to success.
