Projects Development Engineer

Support the Opportunity & New Technology Development Section with the identification, evaluation and maturation of brownfield modification and production-enhancement opportunities across surface facilities. Assist opportunity development activities from initial concept screening through gated development stages, including technical evaluation, business case development, cost-benefit assessment and stakeholder coordination. Contribute to ensuring opportunities are progressed in accordance with company processes and are prepared for subsequent handover to project execution teams

Key Functions & Activities

Opportunity Identification & Development

• Maintain the projects register and monitor opportunity status.
• Coordinate prioritization of project opportunities with senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Work within multidisciplinary teams to evaluate project development alternatives.
• Assess and evaluate cost-effective technologies.
• Select concepts and execution plans that best satisfy business objectives.
• Develop cost and schedule estimates.
• Advance projects through a structured gated development process.
• Define project objectives and strategies.
• Develop business justifications and value propositions.
• Develop technical basis documentation.
• Support project teams in developing execution strategies and plans.
• Work with Operations teams to develop operational requirements and operating philosophies.
• Coordinate with third-party engineering support, where required, to evaluate development opportunities.
• Monitor and follow up on required approvals.
• Lead project development activities through to handover to the execution organisation.
• Oversee progression of selected projects through to completion where required

Qualifications Education & Knowledge

• Bachelor's Degree in Oil & Gas Surface Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Work Experience

• Minimum 8 years' experience in oil & gas surface engineering, project development, opportunity assessment, or brownfield facility modification activities.
• Supported by a minimum of 10 years of overall industry experience.
