Job Summary

Spark Techwave InnovationZ Pvt Ltd is looking for a skilled Prompt Engineer to design, develop, test, and optimize prompts for Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI applications.

The candidate will work on prompt engineering techniques, AI-powered workflows, structured outputs, LLM evaluation, and integration of AI models into business applications. The ideal candidate should understand how to improve AI response quality, accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, test, and optimize prompts for Generative AI and LLM-based applications.
• Develop system prompts, user prompts, reusable prompt templates, and multi-step prompting workflows.
• Apply prompt engineering techniques such as zero-shot, few-shot, chain-of-thought prompting, and role-based prompting where appropriate.
• Work with LLMs such as OpenAI GPT, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, and open-source models.
• Evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy, relevance, consistency, and adherence to instructions.
• Create test cases and benchmark datasets to measure prompt performance.
• Reduce hallucinations and improve response quality through prompt refinement, grounding, and validation.
• Develop structured outputs using JSON, schemas, and function/tool calling.
• Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, product teams, and business stakeholders.
• Build and optimize AI workflows for content generation, summarization, classification, extraction, and question answering.
• Support the integration of LLMs into applications through APIs.
• Document prompt versions, test results, evaluation metrics, and best practices.
• Follow responsible AI practices, including privacy, bias reduction, and prompt-injection risk mitigation.

Required Skills

• 15 years of relevant experience in Prompt Engineering, Generative AI, LLM applications, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of LLMs and Generative AI concepts.
• Hands-on experience designing and optimizing prompts.
• Knowledge of zero-shot, few-shot, instruction-based, and context-aware prompting.
• Experience using one or more LLM platforms, such as OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, or open-source models.
• Ability to evaluate AI outputs and systematically improve prompt performance.
• Knowledge of structured outputs, JSON, and output validation.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and integrating AI models into applications.
• Strong analytical thinking, experimentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Good written communication and technical documentation skills.

Good to Have

• Basic to intermediate Python programming.
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or LlamaIndex.
• Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, and vector databases.
• Experience with function calling, tool use, and AI agents.
• Familiarity with LLM evaluation frameworks and automated testing.
• Knowledge of model parameters, token limits, context windows, latency, and cost optimization.
• Understanding of prompt injection, data privacy, and AI safety.
• Experience with FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with Git, Docker, and cloud AI platforms.
• Experience building proof-of-concept Generative AI applications.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Relevant hands-on projects or a portfolio of LLM applications will be an advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Strong interest in Generative AI and emerging LLM technologies.
• Able to experiment systematically and compare prompt versions.
• Comfortable translating business requirements into effective AI instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and evaluation skills.
• Able to explain prompt design decisions and document results.
• Candidates with relevant AI projects may be considered even without a dedicated Prompt Engineer job title.
