Duties

• Apply editorial guidelines such as AP Style, Chicago Manual of Style, and other style guides to maintain consistency across all materials.
• Edit for grammar, punctuation, spelling, clarity, tone, and overall readability while preserving the original voice and intent.
• Conduct fact-checking to verify the accuracy of information presented in the content.
• Collaborate with writers, editors, and content creators to provide constructive feedback and suggest improvements.
• Manage multiple editorial projects simultaneously using content management systems (CMS) and word processing tools.
• Ensure all content aligns with brand voice, storytelling objectives, and target audience expectations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in proofreading, editing, or content writing within a professional setting.
• Strong understanding of editorial guidelines such as AP Style, Chicago Manual of Style, and technical writing standards.
• Excellent command of English language skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to perform research effectively to verify facts and sources.
• Proficiency in copy editing, copywriting, proposal writing, and creative writing techniques.
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), word processing software, and digital publishing tools.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of journalism principles and storytelling methods is a plus.
