LPG Bobtail Technician – Propane Truck Service & Repair

C.H. Bradshaw Company is seeking a mechanically skilled technician to service, troubleshoot, and repair LPG bobtail trucks and propane delivery equipment. This position focuses on the tank, pumping, metering, piping, and delivery systems installed on the truck.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can diagnose mechanical problems, and wants to build their skills in a specialized trade.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose, service, and repair LPG bobtail equipment, including pumps, meters, valves, hose reels, piping, and related components.
• Troubleshoot PTO systems, basic electrical wiring, and pneumatic controls.
• Perform preventive maintenance and assist with tank testing and inspections as qualified.
• Install and replace delivery equipment and accessories.
• Assist with tank transfers, equipment installations, and new truck builds as experience allows.
• Document completed work and communicate repair needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow established procedures for working safely around propane equipment.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience servicing LPG bobtails, propane delivery equipment, or similar tank truck systems is strongly preferred.
• Strong mechanical ability and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with pumps, meters, valves, piping, and electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependability, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Own basic hand tools, with the ability to acquire additional tools over time.
• Fabrication experience is helpful. Welding experience is a plus but is not required.

Experience with tank trucks, petroleum equipment, hydraulics, or industrial maintenance is helpful but not required. Mechanically inclined candidates who are eager to learn are encouraged to apply.
