Property Accountant

The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established property group with a significant commercial property portfolio, Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Property Accountant to join their finance team in Brisbane.

This is an opportunity to step into a broad, hands-on role where you'll work closely with Property Managers, Leasing Managers and senior stakeholders while taking responsibility for the financial performance and reporting of a retail-focused property portfolio. 

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting
• Manage property accounting, reporting and reconciliations
• Oversee tenant billings, receipting and rent roll reviews
• Partner with Property Managers on reporting, budgeting and forecasting
• Prepare annual budgets, outgoings estimates and outgoings reconciliations
• Assist with audits, board reporting and ad hoc analysis
• Support acquisitions, disposals and valuation processes as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Previous Property Accounting experience
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting skills
• Experience interpreting leases and translating them into financial outcomes
• High attention to detail and a proactive approach
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• CA/CPA qualifications (completed or in progress) will be highly regarded
