Property & Grounds Manager

Whitefriars College is a Catholic boys' school in the Carmelite tradition. We are currently seeking a highly motivated, proactive and experienced Property & Grounds Manager, commencing, Term 4, 2026.

The Property & Grounds Manager is responsible to the Business Manager and ultimately to the Principal for the effective management, maintenance and development of the College’s property, buildings, grounds and facilities.

This role will provide leadership in the planning, coordination and delivery of property and grounds services to ensure the College maintains a safe, well-presented, functional and sustainable learning and working environment. The role will oversee maintenance programs, grounds management, contractor coordination, facilities projects and the effective allocation of resources to support the College’s operational needs and strategic priorities.

Working collaboratively with the Business Manager, College leadership, staff, contractors and external service providers, the Property & Grounds Manager will ensure that buildings, grounds, equipment and facilities are maintained to a high standard. The role will also contribute to the planning and implementation of preventative maintenance programs, facility improvements, project works, bushfire emergency management plans, workplace health and safety requirements including hazard rectifications, and relevant compliance obligations.

An organised, practical and forward-thinking professional, the successful applicant will demonstrate strong leadership, sound technical knowledge and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. They will foster a proactive approach to maintenance, promote safe work practices and ensure that property and grounds services are delivered efficiently and in accordance with the College’s expectations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced property, facilities or grounds management professional to make a meaningful contribution to the College community by maintaining and enhancing the environment in which students learn and staff work.

This is an ongoing full-time position: Monday to Friday (Some weekend or after-hours work may be required) Current position is 7.30 am to 4.06 pm (38 hours) Lunch- one hour (unpaid)
