Property Maintenance Technician

Rooney Property Management is seeking a reliable and skilled Property Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. This individual will work closely with property managers and tenants to ensure our properties are well-maintained and operating efficiently.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dependable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively while providing excellent customer service to tenants and team members alike.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and quarterly maintenance for multiple residential properties
• Diagnose and repair a variety of household maintenance issues, including but not limited to:
• Furnaces and thermostats (filters, minor repairs, etc.)
• Smoke detectors
• Fire suppression/sprinkler systems
• Garbage disposals (resets, clearing drains, etc.)
• Faucets and plumbing fixtures (cartridge replacements, minor repairs, etc.)
• Fireplaces (pilot lights, troubleshooting, etc.)
• Doors and hardware (adjustments, replacing sweeps, tightening handles, etc.)
• Garage doors (sensor alignment, remote programming, etc.)
• Drywall repair (taping, mudding, texturing, painting)
• Window blinds (installation and repairs)
• Toilets (fill valves, supply lines, seat replacements, etc.)
• Water heaters (elements and minor repairs)
• Interior and exterior painting
• General light cleaning and upkeep
• Assist property managers with month-end move-in and move-out tasks

Qualifications

• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• High level of integrity with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Professional, dependable, and punctual
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
• Flexibility to work varied hours and participate in an on-call rotation
• Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred
