What they need
- Takapuna location
- Growing business with great client relationships
- Opportunity for career development
Our client is a boutique property management company that specializes in commercial property management. Their small, high-performing team works hard to maintain great client relationships and deliver outstanding service. They’ve done this successfully for more than 25 years.
The business needs to expand its team and they’re looking for an intermediate level Property Manager who is confident in most aspects of commercial property management and looking for their next career step and the opportunity to take on more responsibility.
The Role
The Property Manager will be managing a diverse portfolio of commercial and retail properties, initially under the guidance of the managing director, with more autonomy once they get to know the clients. The main responsibilities will include:
- Managing leases and tenancies, including rent reviews, lease renewals and new lettings
- Lease documentation
- Tenant, contractor and consultant liaison, and resolving any issues
- Attending to all BWOF, compliance, and repairs and maintenance requirements
- Regular property and building inspections
- Financial management/administration of income and expenses for properties
- Report preparation and attending management meetings
- Maintaining and updating property records/schedules and PM software systems
The Ideal Candidate
The role would suit an intermediate level property manager with:
- 2-5 years’ commercial property management experience
- A relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of the commercial real estate market
- A strong understanding of property law and local and statutory regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and property management software (preferably Re-Leased)
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- ·A current NZ driver’s licence
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic, proactive person with great communication skills who will go the extra mile for clients.
What can you Expect?
This is a great opportunity to move into a role where you can learn from a very experienced commercial property manager with a path to take on management of your own portfolio and long-term opportunity to move into a more senior role.
The role offers a competitive remuneration package.
If you’d like to be considered for this role, please apply through SEEK with a cover letter and CV or call Carole Bates on [021 408 419](tel:021 408 419).
