What they need
Property Manager
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an accomplished, highly motivated Community Manager to lead the operations, leasing, marketing, and resident experience of a new residential community.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced property management professional who takes pride in building a successful community from the ground up. The ideal candidate is a confident leader, exceptional communicator, skilled marketer, and hands-on operator who understands that outstanding property management requires equal attention to people, performance, presentation, and resident satisfaction.
We are looking for a professional with a demonstrated history of career stability and progressive responsibility who is interested in making a long-term impact.
As Community Manager, you will take ownership of the overall performance and day-to-day operations of the community while creating an exceptional experience for residents, prospects, employees, vendors, and ownership.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead all aspects of daily community operations with professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Recruit, coach, motivate, and manage onsite team members while establishing clear expectations and a culture of exceptional service.
- Drive leasing performance and execute proactive marketing strategies designed to generate qualified traffic, increase occupancy, and establish the community within the local market.
- Develop strong relationships with prospects and residents from initial inquiry through move-in, residency, renewal, and move-out.
- Maintain a visible presence throughout the community and ensure the property consistently presents at an exceptional standard.
- Oversee property inspections, maintenance coordination, curb appeal, common areas, models, amenities, landscaping, and overall community appearance.
- Monitor leasing activity, occupancy, renewals, competitive properties, market conditions, and resident feedback.
- Create and execute resident engagement initiatives that strengthen satisfaction, retention, and the overall community experience.
- Manage vendors and service providers while maintaining high standards for quality, responsiveness, and cost control.
- Oversee rent collection, delinquency management, reporting, budgets, invoices, purchasing, and other financial and administrative responsibilities. Must possess extensive Yardi Voyager software experience.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, Fair Housing requirements, applicable landlord-tenant regulations, and established operational procedures.
- Communicate effectively and consistently with ownership regarding property performance, opportunities, challenges, and recommended solutions.
- Identify issues early, take ownership, and follow through until they are resolved.
The Candidate We’re Looking For
The successful candidate will be a strong, proactive leader who leads by example and is comfortable taking ownership of the entire community.
You should possess:
- Significant experience in multifamily residential property management, preferably in a Community Manager or Property Manager leadership role.
- A strong record of employment stability and progressive career growth.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and hold a team accountable while maintaining a positive working environment.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leasing, sales, and customer-service abilities.
- Proven ability to develop and execute marketing and outreach strategies.
- Experience successfully managing occupancy, renewals, resident retention, and property performance.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Financial and operational knowledge, including budgeting, reporting, rent collection, expense management, and vendor oversight.
- Excellent judgment and the ability to resolve resident, employee, and operational issues professionally.
- A high degree of initiative, personal accountability, and follow-through.
- Strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to maintaining the physical appearance and reputation of the community.
- Working knowledge of Fair Housing and applicable property-management regulations.
- Proficiency with property-management technology, Microsoft Office, and digital communication tools.
What Will Set You Apart
We are especially interested in candidates who have successfully opened, leased-up, repositioned, or stabilized a residential community and understand the importance of establishing the right standards from day one.
You are a leader, marketer, salesperson, problem solver, relationship builder, and steward of the community's brand.
You know how to create urgency around leasing, develop relationships within the local market, inspire an onsite team, communicate confidently with ownership, and ensure residents receive the level of service they expect.
Our Expectations
We are looking for someone who wants to take ownership of a community—not simply manage a checklist.
The right person will bring energy, maturity, professionalism, consistency, and a strong work ethic to the position. They will be comfortable making decisions, solving problems, developing their team, driving leasing results, and maintaining exceptionally high standards throughout the property.
If you are an experienced multifamily professional with a proven track record, strong leadership skills, exceptional communication abilities, and the desire to build and lead an outstanding residential community, we would like to hear from you.
To Apply: Please submit your resume along with a brief introduction describing your property management experience, leadership background, and experience with new developments, lease-ups, or community stabilization.
