Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day management and operations of the property.
  • Keep the property clean, well-maintained, and running smoothly at all times.
  • Conduct daily walkthroughs to uphold organization, cleanliness, and quality standards.
  • Partner with the team on interior operations.
  • Manage household systems and procedures, and update them to improve efficiency and service.
  • Maintain regular and deep cleaning schedules, and coordinate vendors for interior projects.
  • Keep nearby guest and staff residences maintained and ready for occupancy.
  • Lead seasonal opening and closing, including staffing transitions, inventories, vendor coordination, and planning.

  • Partner with the team on exterior operations and equipment and fleet maintenance.
  • Keep emergency kits and first aid supplies complete and current.
  • Respond to alarms and emergencies on property, including outside standard hours.
  • Manage staff housing operations during peak season.
  • Lead a resort-style team across housekeeping, facilities, recreation, culinary, service, and events.
  • Build a respectful, collaborative, and positive team culture.
  • Manage scheduling and staffing based on seasonal needs, events, and the family's plans.
  • Build clear training and onboarding processes for new and current staff.
  • Mentor staff with ongoing feedback, and partner with HR on formal performance reviews.
  • Address conflicts and performance issues promptly, professionally, and with empathy.
  • Assess skill levels, identify gaps, and guide development through training and certifications.
  • Oversee all hospitality and service on property to the highest standard.
  • Anticipate the needs of the family and guests, and resolve requests with care.
  • Prepare the property, team, and operations in advance, and adapt as plans change.
  • Prepare the residence for the family and guests, and greet arrivals and departures.
  • Support entertaining and events, including planning, staffing, and on-site presence.
  • Uphold family preferences and protect the family's privacy at all times.
  • Set and maintain service standards and protocols, and train team members who support service.
  • Manage entertaining inventory and table setting lookbooks.
  • Manage wine and beverage inventories.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in luxury hospitality, resort operations, or private estate management, with a focus on elevated service and team leadership.
  • Hands-on, approachable, and supportive leadership style. You resolve team challenges with professionalism and discretion.
  • Experience building and upholding service standards, training programs, and operational protocols.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, strong organization, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Composure and sound judgment when priorities compete in a demanding seasonal setting.
