What they need
Are you an experienced property professional who enjoys building strong relationships, navigating complex property matters, and delivering outcomes that make a real difference to the community? Join the City of Port Adelaide Enfield as a Property Officer and play a key role in managing a diverse property portfolio that supports local businesses, community organisations, sporting clubs and residents.
Our property team works behind the scenes to ensure Council's assets deliver lasting social, economic and community benefits for current and future generations.
This is a full-time position offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
About Us
At the City of Port Adelaide Enfield (PAE), we’re building a welcoming, liveable city, made by people.
Our focus is on community, our economy, environmental sustainability and building high-quality places for people to enjoy. We’re on an ambitious trajectory, but our organisation is up for the challenge.
At PAE, we’re involved in all sorts of things - major construction through to environmental management, organising events, social infrastructure planning, and library services. We are proud of offering a wide range of accessible services and programs to our community.
You don’t need experience in local government for this role - we’re looking for transferrable skills and a great attitude.
Now’s a great time to be part of PAE.
About the Role
As a Property Officer, you'll work across a broad range of property functions, managing commercial and community property arrangements, supporting land acquisitions and disposals, administering leases and licences, and providing expert property advice to internal and external stakeholders. You'll collaborate with community groups, sporting organisations, government agencies and business partners to maximise the value and impact of Council's property assets.
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to strategic projects, support community outcomes, and help ensure Council's property portfolio is managed effectively, sustainably and in line with legislative requirements.
About You
You are a proactive and relationship-focused property professional who enjoys balancing technical expertise with customer service. You can confidently manage competing priorities, build productive stakeholder relationships and apply sound judgement to achieve practical outcomes.
You will bring:
- Experience coordinating lease management and/or property related functions.
- Knowledge of property transactions, leases, licences and related legislative frameworks.
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- The ability to interpret information, manage risk and make informed decisions.
More information can be found in the Position Description located below.
This position is classified at Level 5 with a current salary of $103,808 per annum plus superannuation.
