  • Monitor property activity and identify potential safety, security, or loss-prevention concerns

  • Respond promptly and appropriately to guest, employee, and property-related security concerns

  • Respond to emergencies, accidents, disturbances, medical situations, fire alarms, and other incidents in accordance with hotel policies and emergency procedures

  • Assist with crowd control and maintain a safe environment during high-occupancy periods, events, and other high-volume activities

  • Monitor surveillance systems and report suspicious, unusual, or potentially unsafe activity to management

  • Protect hotel guests, employees, company assets, and property from theft, damage, unauthorized access, and other security risks

  • Investigate and document incidents, accidents, guest complaints, employee concerns, property damage, lost and found items, and other security-related matters

  • Assist in the completion of detailed incident reports and ensure all necessary information is accurately documented and communicated to management

  • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive guest, employee, and hotel information

  • Respond to disturbances and potentially difficult or confrontational situations in a calm, professional, and de-escalating manner

  • Enforce hotel policies and procedures while using sound judgment and maintaining a high level of guest service

  • Maintain familiarity with emergency exits, fire protection equipment, evacuation procedures, emergency contacts, and other life-safety systems throughout the property

  • Work closely with hotel leadership, Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage, Valet, and other departments to address safety and security concerns

  • Maintain accurate daily logs, shift reports, and other required documentation

  • Ensure all security equipment, radios, keys, and other assigned property protection resources are properly maintained and secured

  • Report maintenance, safety, lighting, access, or other property conditions that may create a security risk

  • Maintain awareness of hotel operations, events, occupancy levels, and other activities that may impact property security

  • Uphold Hotel ZaZa grooming, uniform, guest service, safety, and professional conduct standards

  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion when interacting with guests, employees, vendors, and visitors

  • Complete additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

  • Previous experience in hotel security, property protection, loss prevention, public safety, law enforcement, military, or a related field preferred
