Property Upkeep Worker

We manage a large portfolio of co-living homes across Sydney and are looking for a practical, energetic person to help keep our properties clean, tidy, presentable and well looked after.

This is a hands-on physical role. You will spend most of your day out at properties doing practical work yourself — cleaning, decluttering, removing rubbish and bulky items, tidying outdoor areas, helping with small maintenance tasks and making sure each house looks good.

What you’ll be doing

• Decluttering and tidying common areas
• Cleaning cupboards, shelves and areas needing extra attention
• Cleaning minor surface mould where appropriate
• Removing cobwebs, rubbish and bulky items
• Taking unwanted items to the tip
• Tidying gardens and outdoor areas
• Moving and assembling furniture
• Preparing vacant rooms for new residents
• Cutting and organising keys
• Helping with lockouts and property access
• Purchasing/replacing basic household items
• Troubleshooting simple Wi-Fi/internet issues
• Helping with property setups and exits
• Meeting cleaners, handymen and trades where needed
• Taking before-and-after photos once work is completed

You are not expected to be a qualified tradesperson. We already use specialist handymen and trades for technical work.

About you

You will suit this role if you:

• Enjoy practical, physical work

• Work quickly and take pride in the result

• Notice mess, clutter and things that need attention

• Are resourceful and comfortable solving small problems independently

• Can use basic hand tools

• Are comfortable lifting and moving furniture

• Can communicate calmly with tenants

• Are reliable and organised

• Hold a valid Australian driver’s licence

Experience in property upkeep, cleaning, maintenance, removals, labouring, accommodation or similar work is useful, but attitude, reliability and work ethic matter more than qualifications.

• $62,000–$68,000 + super
