Drive international space programmes from proposal to successful delivery

At SATLANTIS, we develop advanced space technologies that enable groundbreaking scientific and Earth observation missions. As part of one of our flagship scientific programmes, you will help transform ambitious ideas into successful international collaborations.

As a Proposal & Project Manager, you will play a central role in preparing competitive proposals while coordinating complex projects involving research institutions, industrial partners, and international stakeholders. Working closely with the Program Director, you will help ensure every programme is delivered with excellence from proposal to execution.

What’s in it for you

  • Shape programmes from day one: You will contribute to winning new opportunities through proposal preparation while supporting the successful delivery of complex international space projects.
  • Work alongside leading scientific organisations: You will collaborate with universities, research centres, industry partners, and institutional stakeholders across the space ecosystem.
  • High-impact role: Your work will directly support programme leadership and contribute to the successful execution of one of SATLANTIS’ most ambitious scientific initiatives.
  • Broad project exposure: You will combine proposal management, subcontract coordination, planning, stakeholder management, and project monitoring in a highly varied role.
  • Professional growth: You will develop your expertise in international space programmes while working on technically challenging and meaningful projects.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: You will work closely with engineering, finance, technical teams, and external partners to keep programmes aligned and moving forward.
  • Continuous improvement: You will help strengthen project management practices and contribute to more efficient programme execution across the organisation.

Your mission

Your mission will be to support the successful growth and execution of international space programmes by transforming technical knowledge into strong proposals and ensuring effective coordination between all project partners.

By bringing structure, visibility, and collaboration to every stage of the programme lifecycle, you will help deliver scientific missions that generate lasting impact for the international space community.

You will:

  • Coordinate subcontractors, research organisations, and internal teams to ensure activities, deliverables, and milestones remain on track.
  • Consolidate technical, management, and cost information to prepare high-quality proposals for international space opportunities.
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, documentation, risks, and stakeholder communication to support successful programme delivery.

What will set you up for success

  • 3-5 years of experience in project and proposal management: Previous experience coordinating multidisciplinary projects and preparing proposals will allow you to quickly add value.
  • Excellent organisational skills: Your ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain structured project documentation will keep programmes running efficiently.
  • Experience working with external partners: Coordinating universities, research centres, industrial organisations, or institutional stakeholders will help you thrive in this collaborative environment.
  • Proposal preparation expertise: Understanding how to consolidate technical, management, and financial inputs will help build competitive submissions.
  • Strong communication skills: Fluent English and Spanish will enable you to collaborate effectively across international and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Analytical mindset: Monitoring schedules, budgets, risks, and project performance will allow you to support informed programme decisions.
  • Ownership and collaboration: Taking initiative while working closely with different teams will be key to succeeding in this role.

Experience that will help you stand out

  • Experience in ESA or other international space programmes.
  • Familiarity with budgeting, cost estimation, and financial monitoring.
  • Experience coordinating multi-partner projects involving academia and industry.
  • Knowledge of project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, or Confluence.
  • Understanding of contractual and governance frameworks in collaborative projects.
