Proposal / Tender Engineer (BMS / HVAC)

Job Responsibilities:

• Review and analyse tender documents, drawings, specifications and contractual requirements.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations and tender submissions according to client requirements.
• Perform quantity take-off, cost estimation and pricing for BMS, HVAC/ACMV and building-automation project scopes.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities, cost breakdowns, technical compliance documents and supporting tender documentation.
• Source quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and evaluate them based on technical compliance, pricing and commercial terms.
• Conduct cost comparisons and support pricing strategies and commercial negotiations.
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Projects, suppliers and subcontractors throughout the tender process.
• Respond to tender clarifications, post-submission queries and requests for additional information.
• Participate in tender briefings, technical discussions and site visits when required.
• Check proposal content and cost calculations to ensure accuracy, competitiveness and compliance.
• Manage multiple tender submissions and ensure all deadlines are met.
• Prepare tender handover documents and coordinate with the Engineering and Project teams upon contract award.
• Provide costing and commercial support during project execution when required.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline.
• Preferably 1–3 years of experience in proposal preparation, tendering, estimation, costing or project engineering.
• Exposure to BMS, HVAC/ACMV, building automation, M&E systems or smart-building solutions is advantageous.
• Project Engineers interested in moving into a tendering or proposal role are welcome to apply.
• Candidates without direct proposal experience are also welcome, as training will be provided.
