Propulsion Engineer 4 (Virtual)

For our client, we are seeking a Propulsion Engineer 4 (Virtual) to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space.

This remote engineering role will focus on propulsion and auxiliary power systems across vehicle platforms, with an emphasis on requirements, interfaces, and certification readiness. The position will partner closely with vehicle, systems, test, and customer-facing teams to ensure performance, compliance, and field support objectives are met. It also contributes to the development of innovative propulsion concepts that support future platform capabilities.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $127,500 – $197,800 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead definition of propulsion and auxiliary power system requirements
• Coordinate functional and physical interfaces between propulsion systems and vehicles
• Develop specifications for vehicle systems that meet regulatory requirements
• Design propulsion sub-systems and components for performance criteria
• Conduct certification tests for propulsion components
• Respond to customer queries regarding fielded systems
• Develop innovative concepts for future propulsion systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 5-7 years of experience in propulsion systems engineering
• Expertise in functional and physical interface management
• Proficient in testing, analysis, modeling, and simulation tools
• Ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance
• Strong communication and technical recommendation skills
