About the Prosper Associate Role

Uneo Health is seeking a part-time Prosper Associate to support our growing outreach efforts with school districts across Maryland, with primary focus on high schools in Wicomico County.

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Prosper Associate will serve as an on-the-ground representative of Uneo Health and the Prosper Self-Care Program. We are looking for an energetic, personable, and organized individual who is passionate about youth mental health, comfortable speaking with groups, enjoys working in the community, and can build positive relationships with students, families, and school staff.

The successful candidate will be comfortable traveling between high schools within Wicomico County to promote the importance of self-care, wellness, and mental health through the Prosper Self-Care Program. Activities may include in-school presentations, resource tabling, wellness programming, community events, and leading other engaging outreach initiatives.

This work will support Uneo Health’s contract with the State of Maryland to strengthen youth social-emotional learning (SEL) .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and maintain positive working relationships with key high school staff to build trust, establish effective communication, and facilitate access to school communities.
• Schedule and attend in-school events, including those that may take place outside of standard school hours, throughout the school year.
• Promote the importance of self-care, wellness, and mental health through presentations, resource tabling, programming, and meaningful engagement with students and school communities.
• Serve as a representative of the Prosper Self-Care Program.
• Contribute creative ideas, observations, and recommendations to strengthen the Prosper Program
• Provide trainings , demonstrations, and ongoing support related to the Prosper Self-Care resource for school wellness teams and other school staff.
• Attend health and wellness fairs, community events, and other outreach opportunities throughout Wicomico County to promote Prosper.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and analytics, to ensure Prosper is effectively meeting the needs of students and staff in accordance with our contract with the State of Maryland.
• Use engagement and outreach data to inform future outreach approaches.
• Report to Uneo Health on a weekly basis engagement metrics for the prior week as well as activities planned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Strong verbal communication and presentation skills, with ability to effectively engage a variety of audiences and age groups.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, relationships, and communication while meeting deadlines.
• Availability to attend a minimum of 2-3 school related events per week.
• Ability to work independently, take direction, incorporate feedback, and demonstrate initiative.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate consistent and accurate information about the Prosper Program.
• Ability to work effectively on-site in the schools and remotely.
• Genuine interest in and passion for mental health, wellness, and expanding access to mental health resources.
• Strong proficiency with Google Workspace, including tools such as Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive, and Google Calendar.
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly between high school locations within Wicomico County, and to occasional community events in Wicomico County.
• Prior experience in education, public health, community outreach, health promotion, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Education

A bachelor’s degree, or active progress toward a bachelor’s degree, in healthcare, public health, education, communications, psychology, social work, or a related field is preferred.

Candidates with a master’s or doctoral degree are also encouraged to apply.

Relevant professional, community, volunteer, or youth-engagement experience may also be considered.

• Applicants will be required to pass a background check as a condition of employment with Uneo Health as well as Wicomico County Public Schools

Compensation

Hourly rate will be based on the candidate's experience, ranging between $20 to $30 per hour.
