About the role

We are seeking a Protégé to join our growing team in Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor. This is a contract-based position designed for emerging talent looking to gain practical experience and develop expertise in programme and project management within the ICT industry. As a Protégé, you will work under the guidance of experienced mentors and project leaders, contributing to real-world projects whilst building your professional skill set. This role offers a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical industry application, positioning you for a successful career in technology project management.

Key responsibilities

• Support project managers and team leads in planning, executing, and monitoring project activities and deliverables
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and status reports
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions and decision-making processes
• Help coordinate communication between team members, stakeholders, and external partners
• Track project progress against milestones and assist in identifying risks and issues
• Support the implementation of project management methodologies and best practices
• Learn and apply ICT industry standards and compliance requirements relevant to assigned projects
• Contribute to team efforts in testing, quality assurance, and project deliverable validation
• Assist in resource planning and allocation under supervision
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders

What we're looking for

• Recent graduate or final-year student with a qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• Strong foundational understanding of project management concepts and methodologies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in team environments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and project scheduling tools
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise work effectively
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Keen attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate documentation
• Eagerness to learn and willingness to seek guidance from mentors and senior colleagues
• Basic understanding of software development lifecycles or ICT project delivery is advantageous
