Prototype CNC Machinist

We are seeking an experienced Machinist familiar with manual machines and Proto-Trak CMC mills and Lathes. Candidates should be energetic, mechanically inclined, “team player” to work in a fast-paced, clean, modern manufacturing environment. Duties include operating and maintaining CNC lathes or mills and using blueprints and precision measuring instruments to inspect machined parts. Wage will be commensurate with experience.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Experienced Machinist

Job Duties

• Setting up, operating, and maintaining turning and vertical-machining centers.
• Mounting, installing, aligned, and securing tools, attachments, fixtures, and pieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Reading and using blueprints to verify machined parts are conforming with precision measuring instruments.
• Maintaining a clean work area.

Preferred Skills/Attributes

• Previous experience (10+ years) with CNC lathe or mill operations and manual machines
• Knowledge of machine setup and Fanuc controls
• Detail Oriented
• Self-Starter

• Good problem solver
