Prototype Engineer Intern

Who you are

• Possess analytical/problem-solving skills, and the ability to use statistical tools and techniques
• Able to solve challenging problems involving testing, planning, and implementation of new methods
• Basic computer skills and working knowledge of common office tools (i.e Excel, Word, etc)
• Working towards a Bachelor's or Master’s in Engineering
• You are a U.S. Citizen, U.S. permanent resident or possess other unrestricted US work authorization

What the job involves

• The Rapid Prototype Center is our hands-on innovation hub that bridges digital design and physical hardware. We collaborate directly with engineering teams to test, refine, and build next-generation products using 3D printing, CNC machining, laser cutting, and advanced finishing techniques
• This is an internship role in support of the Rapid Prototype Center
• In the rapid prototype center specialist role, the intern would work with the engineering teams in developing the models utilized in future products using 3D printing technologies
• Opportunities to learn 3D CAD modeling, CNC machining, laser cutting, project management and spray finishing
• Projects can vary from part concepts to reworking existing products
• Projects will be quick turn around, hands on, with exposure to various techniques
