About the Position

Upstar Mental Health Services is seeking a Provider Development & Case Management Coordinator to support provider training, coordinate student and intern learning experiences, and deliver direct case management services.

This position requires maintaining a minimum billable caseload and meeting agency-established billing and documentation expectations while balancing training and coordination responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Provider Training and Development

• Coordinate new-provider orientation and ongoing training in case management, client engagement, service coordination, documentation, and agency procedures.
• Provide practical coaching, mentoring, and constructive feedback to case managers.
• Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with agency requirements, referring clinical concerns to the Clinical Director.
• Develop training materials, maintain training records, and identify opportunities for staff development.

Student and Intern Coordination

• Coordinate learning assignments, shadowing opportunities, and activities that support educational goals.
• Provide guidance on professional communication, documentation, client engagement, and case management skills.
• Collaborate with designated field instructors and qualified clinical supervisors to support student progress.

Direct Case Management and Billable Caseload

• Maintain the required minimum billable caseload and meet established direct-service productivity expectations.
• Identify client needs and participate in individualized service planning within the employee’s qualifications and required supervision.
• Connect clients with community resources, coordinate referrals, and address barriers to accessing services.
• Collaborate with clients, families, and care teams to monitor progress toward service-plan goals.
• Complete accurate progress notes, service-plan updates, and billing documentation within agency deadlines.
• Balance direct-service responsibilities with provider development and student coordination duties.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field.
• Knowledge of behavioral health case management, service planning, and Ohio Medicaid documentation requirements.
• Ability to maintain a billable caseload while managing training and coordination responsibilities.
• Strong communication, organization, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to provide practical instruction and constructive feedback.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and standard office software.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in behavioral health case management, social services, or a related field.
• Ohio Licensed Social Worker (LSW) credential, preferred but not required.
• Experience training or mentoring behavioral health providers, students, or interns.

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
