What they need

Opticore IT is a rapidly expanding specialist IT Service Consultancy offering a wide variety of opportunities to work within challenging and exciting environments across our client base which spans multiple verticals including Finance, Media, Hospitality and Telecommunications.

Join Us as a Provisioning Coordinator! We’re on the hunt for a sharp, connectivity-savvy Provisioning Coordinator to join our growing team. If you know your DIA from your MPLS and love seeing an order through from signed to live, this opportunity is for you!

This is a hybrid opportunity based in the heart of London and you’ll be working from our HQ in Liverpool Street three days a week.

💻 What You’ll Be Doing Are you an organised, detail-obsessed order chaser? You’ll be at the heart of getting our clients connected - on time and right first time. Here’s how you’ll make an impact: Order Ownership: Take the lead on connectivity orders (DIA, Ethernet, RO2, SD-WAN and MPLS) from the moment Sales accepts them right through to live service - they’re yours from start to finish

Right First Time: Validate every new order (product type, site details and contract terms) and submit it to carriers such as Openreach, BT Wholesale and Virgin Media Business accurately and on time, keeping rework and rejections to a minimum

Carrier Wrangling: Track progress through carrier portals and our internal systems, chase suppliers when things stall and keep the pressure on to hit committed dates

Spotting Risk Early: Get ahead of surveys, wayleaves, ECCs, access issues and capacity constraints, flagging and escalating anything at risk before it turns into a delay

Order Book Management: Run a live order book, reviewing blocked and at-risk orders daily and prioritising to protect delivery speed and consistency

Smooth Handovers: Coordinate installation dates with clients, engineers and internal teams, and provide clear, structured handover documentation to Delivery once carrier acceptance is confirmed

Client Onboarding: Arrange and join client onboarding calls to confirm provisioning scope, timelines and responsibilities - setting realistic expectations from day one

Keeping Everyone in the Loop: Proactively updating the CRM, clients and internal stakeholders via phone, Teams and email - not just when they ask

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Presales, Technical Assurance, Project Management and Delivery to fully understand the technical and commercial requirements behind every order

Reporting & Insights: Keep the order tracker and CRM spot on every day, and produce regular reports on pipeline status, ageing orders and time-to-provide performance

Continuous Improvement: Feed back recurring supplier issues and process gaps internally to help us keep getting faster and better

🚀 What You’ll Bring Proven Expertise: At least 1 year’s hands-on experience provisioning connectivity orders (DIA, Ethernet, RO2, SD-WAN and MPLS) within telecoms, IT networking or managed services, where you’ve shown you can deliver results under pressure

Carrier Know-How: Direct experience placing and managing orders with UK carriers such as Openreach, BT Wholesale, Virgin Media Business or other ISP/MSP providers, from acknowledgements and surveys through to milestones and delays

Technical Confidence: A solid understanding of each service type, so you can place, track and manage orders independently and get them right first time

Tech Savvy: Hands-on experience using a CRM or order management platform, paired with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Comfortable researching and troubleshooting challenges independently, with a focus on driving automation and efficiency, including using AI

Organisational Superstar: A natural completer-finisher with exceptional multitasking and prioritisation skills, able to juggle a busy live order book without losing accuracy. You catch the small things before they become big problems

Problem-Solving Pro: Outstanding time management and a knack for thinking on your feet to unblock stalled orders quickly, logically and efficiently

Proactive Self-Starter: The ability to work independently and collaboratively, taking ownership and driving every order from sales through to live service

Top-Notch Communicator: Confident on the phone and comfortable working directly with clients, carriers and internal teams alike, with clear, professional written communication across email, Teams and order updates

Nice to Have: Project coordination experience (e.g. PRINCE2), an understanding of SLA structures and service credits, experience managing carrier relationships, or time in a fast-growth MSP or consultancy environment

💰 What We Offer We believe in rewarding our team with more than just a salary. Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll enjoy:

A Competitive Edge: A salary that reflects your talent and hard work, plus a discretionary bonus to celebrate your successes

Invest in You: Paid training relevant to your position, from carrier and product knowledge to industry certifications, so you keep growing with us

Time to Recharge: 23 days of annual leave, increasing with service, on top of bank holidays - because work-life balance matters

Health & Wellbeing: Comprehensive private healthcare and dental cover to keep you in top shape including 24/7 GP, Life Stage Cash Plan, Supplementary Benefits, Structured Counselling and EAP

Secure Your Future: A solid pension plan to help you plan for tomorrow, today
