A&M Home Care is a family-owned, faith-guided agency founded in Maine in early 2020 by Adam and Mallory Ketchum. What started as a small mission in Brewer has grown into one of Maine's largest home care providers, now serving families across five states. We're still run the same way we started — one call, no pressure, listen first, and treat every client like family.

We're hiring Personal Support Specialists (PSS) across Maine to provide compassionate, in-home care to seniors and adults who want to stay safe and independent at home.

What you'll do

As a PSS with A&M, you'll help clients live with dignity in their own home. Day to day, that looks like:

• Personal care — bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Help with daily living — meal prep, light homemaking, laundry, and errands
• Medication reminders (non-medical — we do not administer medications)
• Companionship and respite for family caregivers
• Mobility support, transfers, and safe movement around the home
• Documenting each visit accurately through our EVV system

You'll be supported by a real care team — office staff who answer the phone during business hours and 24/7 on-call support when you need us after hours.

What we're looking for

• A caring, dependable person who shows up on time and treats people the way they'd want their own family treated
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
• Ability to pass a background check
• Smartphone for clock-in/clock-out (EVV) and communication
• Prior caregiving experience is welcome but not required — we train the right people

No PSS certification yet? That's fine. We'll train and certify you through our Maine PSS orientation and annual training program (aligned with Maine 10-144 CMR Ch. 129 §5(C)). Already certified? Even better — bring your certificate and we'll get you started faster.

Already caring for a parent, spouse, or loved one at home? Ask about our Family Caregiver Program — we'll train you, certify you as a PSS, and pay you to care for your own family member, with ongoing support from our care team.
